This work is an effort to theorize the radical changes that have occurred in recent times seeking urgent re-conceptualization of culture, religion and literature after the advent of globalization and historicized postmodernism.

The notions of beautiful, culture and sacred are now being re-negotiated through spatial relations created by relativism and cultural hybridity. Postmodern theories and global perspectives along with post-industrialization have created a situation of disjunctive co-existence of pluralities in which culture, the beautiful and the sacred are simultaneously specific and affected by the global others.

All Universalist boundaries look to be unsettled. Science Technology, Capital are pushing people to renegotiate their positions through this unprecedent flux. Language culture, religion have entered a new zone of “happening.” With technology moving at such a rapid pace and capitalism ushering in new opportunities, we are all in a state of bewildering flux. This unsettling is fast becoming a way of settlement.

This is a space of multi-dialogue that offers us something unprecedented which is hard to theorize. This wonder is multiplicities floating around the globe not only fascinate us but also engage us futuristically. Poetics and religious thought are to be rethought and rearticulated in view of these developments.
